The FIA’s Neighborhood Composting Event was a huge success! Participants raved about the opportunity and the containers filled quickly. Around 40 carloads came through, many packed to the gills. Many bags of leaves were saved from the landfill.
A special acknowledgment goes to the dedicated teens and honorary teens who contributed to community service by assisting with raking and leaf disposal from the pool area.
A special thanks to Eden Tree Care for handling the event and to FIA board members and other volunteers who organized and ran the event. Finally, a very special thank you to Julie Holt and the Scouts for their generous sponsorships.
